![]() ![]() ![]() Ultimately, however, the most important part of podcasting is, well, sitting down to talk and have a conversation. A lot of work goes into preparing shows: we don’t like to just “show up and talk on Skype” on all the podcasts I do, my co-hosts and I like to make sure we’re following a well-researched outline of topics that can drive a spontaneous conversation without rambling and wasting listeners’ time. By the end of the month, I will be the co-host of six different podcasts. H6 setup for mac pro#has everything.Even though it all works – I’ve been able to record various shows from my iPad Pro – the different pieces of equipment I have to use to get it done on an iPad encapsulate how far behind in terms of audio recording and file management iOS still is compared to macOS.I primarily consider myself a writer, but podcasting has become a substantial part of my income and another job unto itself that takes up a sizable amount of my time every day. ![]() I'll pose the question again - what are people using as an interface with the iPad? I'm using the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9"Īudiofuse. Also, that is a common term used in audio recording (mainly with the use of computers) for interfacing audio components. H6 setup for mac full#I used the term 'audio interface' first, because that is the mode that the H6 offers to communicate as a full duplex device. I'll pose the question again - what are people using as an interface with the iPad? I'm using the 2018 iPad Pro could be referred to as a 'USB hub' seeing that the only real way the Hyperdrive is going to communicate with the iPad (albeit USB-A/USB-C). The way I've seen it done online was someone using the H5 and Garageband (and no Audiobus) with the camera connection kit and they were able to record individual tracks simultaneously. Audiobus does recognize the H6 though which is something I had not seen before. Though Garageband showed that there was recording going on, the actual audio was not recorded. I got levels on all tracks and was able to 'record' them'. I was able to configure (3) tracks in Audiobus and assign in Garageband coming from H6 and Hyperdrive. Last night I was able to make more progress toward getting this system of mine to work. No configuring or the need for Audiobus - it just works! Crazy! Haha I'm using an Akai MIDI controller and it's interfaced via USB-B to USB-C going into the Hyperdrive. Of course, I havent extensively tested every scenario but this is a goo could be referred to as a 'USB hub' seeing that the only real way the Hyperdrive is going to communicate with the iPad (albeit USB-A/USB-C). Of course, I havent extensively tested every scenario but this is a goo said: The neat thing is it worked both on batteries and using the USB out as power source. I got a Zoom H6 and verified that it works as a multitrack interface in Cubasis. I thought this may be helpful for some folks. ![]()
